Worth Green Cause of Death Raleigh, NC: In loving memory of Worth Green, ‘Southern Charm’ star Taylor Ann Green’s brother.
The Earth lost another bright star on June 8, 2023. The brother of Southern Charm actress Taylor Ann Green passed away at the age of just 36. Of the three Green siblings, her brother Richard Worthington Green, also referred to as Worth by friends and family, was the oldest. He is already greatly missed and leaves a huge vacuum in the Green family.
The Green family want to remain anonymous of Worth’s passing for the time being. While fans may find it unsettling to hear about someone passing away at such a young age, it is more important to honor the family’s wishes. Since that would have probably been mentioned if it were the case, we can presume that Worth did not pass away from an apparent chronic illness or from natural causes.
In actuality, Catie, the sister of Worth and Taylor Ann, has been dealing with personal health issues. Catie received a diagnosis of two different forms of ovarian cancer in 2017. She was declared cancer-free after a few months of therapy, but Taylor Ann revealed in May 2022 that the cancer had come back, requiring her to fight it off once more.
While many admirers expressed their condolences right after, others questioned what had happened. Though no one in the family has disclosed the cause of Worth’s death, it was suggested that it might have been Lyme Disease. But we think they most likely confused the death of Taylor Ann’s brother with the brother Olivia Flowers lost to Lyme earlier this year. Worth most certainly did not pass away from the same illness.
